"To school with you" – bringing love to children in remote mountain areas supporting schools in pha mu

With a strong sense of social responsibility and a desire to improve learning and living conditions for students in mountainous regions, Vietnam Import Export Trading Joint Stock Company has partnered with Tu Tam Group – Hanoi to carry out a meaningful charitable program at the school cluster in Pha Mu Commune, Than Uyen District, Lai Chau Province.

A Journey of Love to the Northwestern Highlands

The school cluster in Pha Mu is located in Pu Cay Village, one of the especially disadvantaged areas, about 41 km from the center of Than Uyen District. In the 2023–2024 academic year, the school cluster has a total of 13 classes and groups, with 337 students—93 in kindergarten and 244 in primary and secondary school. Notably, 187 students are semi-boarding, living in conditions severely lacking in clean water, food, medicine, and learning materials.

Understanding these challenges, we joined hands with Tu Tam Rice Group to travel over 400 km through winding mountain roads to deliver practical support to the teachers and students in Pha Mu.

Meaningful Contributions for the Future of Pha Mu’s Children

As part of the charity program "To School With You – Welcoming the New School Year", the volunteer team carried out several essential activities to improve learning and living conditions for the students:

• Renovated and repaired the teachers’ housing and the boarding kitchen to provide better living spaces for both teachers and boarding students.
• Installed over 2,000 meters of water piping, solving the school’s long-standing clean water shortage.
• Organized a nutritious Independence Day meal, bringing joy to students on this special occasion.
• Donated many valuable gifts, including books, clothes, and essential supplies, to encourage students to keep coming to school.

The total value of the program reached 300 million VND, reflecting the meaningful cooperation between our company and Tu Tam Rice Group.
