Building schools, spreading kindness - Accompanying the construction of Trung An 2 Primary School
Vietnam Import Export Trading Joint Stock Company has always placed strong emphasis on corporate social responsibility, particularly in the field of education. With a spirit of sharing and compassion, we have been actively implementing community support projects aimed at improving learning conditions for underprivileged students.
Building Schools, Spreading Kindness – Supporting Trung An 2 Primary School
In recent times, the company has sponsored the construction of two bridges — Hung Loc Bridge (Tue Tam Bridge 421) and Phat Loc Bridge (Tue Tam Bridge 422) — in Trung An Commune, Co Do District, Can Tho City.
During the groundbreaking ceremony for Phat Loc Bridge, Ms. Anna Thuoc, a company representative, visited Trung An 2 Primary School to directly assess the school’s deteriorating condition.
The site inspection revealed that several facilities were seriously damaged, affecting both the quality of education and the safety of students and teachers. Key issues in urgent need of repair include:
- Repairing 3 leaking classrooms;
- Constructing a drainage system and filling dangerous holes;
- Replastering cracked and broken hallway columns;
- Repainting 8 moldy, damp classrooms;
- Fixing doors and windows of classrooms;
- Renovating restrooms to ensure hygiene and safety for students and staff;
- Installing new handwashing stations for students.
We also proposed additional improvements, such as removing unsafe teacher podiums, installing gutters along hallways, and relocating the flagpole for safety.
Our Commitment
Ahead of the new school year, and to help create a safe and conducive learning environment, we have committed to sponsoring VND 200 million out of the total VND 250 million needed for school renovation. The remaining funds will be matched by the local authorities.
This support reflects our deep concern for educational infrastructure and our long-term commitment to the development of education in Vietnam. We hope that this small contribution will help build a brighter future for the next generation.
